Based upon data from the Ohio Department of Health available at https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/dashboards cross-referenced with the the visualization by Johns Hopkins University at https://bao.arcgis.com/covid-19/jhu/county/39007.html the following can be noted:

  • Ashtabula County had on 2020-11-09 1,189 cumulative coronavirus cases reported. As of the reporting cutoff of 1900 UTC on 2020-11-10 the county sat at 1,238 which is a change of +49.
  • Ohio had on 2020-11-09 254,974 cumulative coronavirus cases reported. As of the reporting cutoff of 1900 UTC on 2020-11-10 the state sat at 261,482 which is a change of +6,508.
  • Ashtabula County has now had 153 cases reported in just three days. There were 229 cases reported in all of the prior week.

The county continues at the third level of alert on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System which is otherwise referred to as “Red Alert” with the added “high incidence” designation. The soonest that that can change per normal data release schedules is Thursday, November 12, 2020.

Today’s press conference by Governor Mike DeWine was not held. A special address will be made to the state on Wednesday at 5:30 PM local time. The Governor intends to speak to the current state of the crisis and where we go from here.
