Based upon data from the Ohio Department of Health available at https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/dashboards cross-referenced with the the visualization by Johns Hopkins University at https://bao.arcgis.com/covid-19/jhu/county/39007.html the following can be noted:

  • Ashtabula County had on 2020-11-11 1,301 cumulative coronavirus cases reported. As of the reporting cutoff of 1900 UTC on 2020-11-12 the county sat at 1,344 which is a change of +43.
  • Ohio had on 2020-11-11 267,356 cumulative coronavirus cases reported. As of the reporting cutoff of 1900 UTC on 2020-11-12 the state sat at 274,457 which is a change of +7,101.
  • Ashtabula County is now 30th out of 88 on the high incidence ranking.

The county continues at the third level of alert on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System which is otherwise referred to as “Red Alert” with the added “high incidence” designation. The soonest that that can change per normal data release schedules is Thursday, November 19, 2020.

A decision will likely be made by the governor next week on the 19th as to whether or not bars, restaurants, and other venues will be shuttered.
